Salama is the owner and artist who designed the architecture of Siwa Salt Lake Lodge.
A place with a personal point of view
The architecture is Salama’s own design. Arches, domed rooms, warm surfaces and garden passages give the lodge a distinctive character, with the lake’s open horizon always close by. The lodge's distinctive architecture, stone and building materials help keep the rooms naturally cool. Every room also has a fan for added comfort.
A gentler way to stay in Siwa.
Care for the oasis shapes everyday life at the lodge. We generate our own solar electricity, draw on the natural warmth of our deep well and separate waste for recycling. From separating everyday waste for recycling to producing our own energy, thoughtful use of resources is part of how we care for this place. The lodge is fully self-sufficient in electricity, powered by our own solar-energy system. Electricity is available around the clock, day and night, throughout summer and winter.
