Siwa Salt Lake is the lodge’s everyday backdrop, with an open horizon and quiet places to sit along the shore. Find a seat on a terrace or in the garden, watch the light move across the water and let the afternoon pass at your own pace.
Deep desert warmth
Step into our natural hot spring beside the lake, fed by naturally hot water from more than 1,000 metres beneath the desert. With the open sky above and palms around you, it is a simple place to slow down and enjoy the warmth.

Designed by Salama, the lodge’s owner and artist, the architecture makes the setting part of your stay. Curved domes, arched doorways, warm earth colours and shaded courtyards give each walk through the property a different perspective. Look closely at the coloured wooden doors and the way light falls through the arches.

Wake early for sunrise over the lake, when soft light reaches the terraces and reflects across the water. Later, find a comfortable spot on the grounds for sunset and the changing colours of the evening sky. From the first light to the lanterns after dusk, there is always a reason to pause.

Flowering branches, green herbs and fruit among the leaves add their own detail to life at the lodge. Take a gentle wander, then settle into one of the garden’s sitting areas with a book or time to spare.
